SPAM (UBE) is email sent to groups of recipients who have not requested it or have "opted out" of group email subscriptions and continue to receive email from the sender. The electronic version of junk mail and scams delivered through the postal service, SPAM can be much more harmful as it can be a vehicle for viruses and programs that can damage your computer or steal information. Spammers can also "hijack" computers belonging to individuals and businesses which are then used as proxies enabling them to send out SPAM while cloaking the origin of the actual messages and, in some cases, could even use "hijacked" computers to "host" websites! In this day of prolific spammers who can send out tens of millions of emails daily, it is imperative that our computers are protected against these threats to our identity and resources, that our valuable time is not wasted on ridiculous amounts of unsolicited email and that we are educated against falling prey to internet scams. Spamlister.com is dedicated to doing our small part to help educate people and provide information by posting some examples of SPAM emails we receive and publishing our "blacklist" of domains. We will also show examples of internet scams that we receive in the hopes that someone won't fall prey to a scam, "phishing" attempt or identity theft. Who the *%&!! ARE these losers who spit out this junk about replica watches, penis enlargement, lottery winnings, cheap Viagra, and tons of other ridiculous scams and crap for sale? Why do they keep on spewing this nonesense out? Is it because there are actually people out there online who fall for this crap? Of course! Don't be an idiot, kill your SPAM! Don't open it! Ignore it! Blacklist it! Spamlister.com will be listing some of the Spam emails we receive, on a daily basis, at a number of our unprotected email addresses. We will also be publishing our blacklist with offending email addresses (e.g. zebra.it, sigurpall.com, netbooster.de, etc.). Some of these may be legitimate addresses being used by spammers unbeknownst to their owners, but if it is a company or individual who WE would never want or expect to send us email, we blacklist them. Feel free to copy and paste our blacklist into your spam blocker or your own blacklist.
